Target offers 1% back on all Target purchases as well as birthday rewards. But what really stands out is their ability to personalise the pay back it gives to its customers. As Target has access to a plethora of shopper data and their buying preferences, they’re able to understand what kind of free gift would suit them best, whether that be clothes, a DVD or groceries.
The ‘Target Circle’ rewards scheme allows members to receive free next-day delivery through the Restock service and 50% off a one-year Shipt membership. The program also includes another personalised charitable element that allows shoppers to choose which local charities Target should donate towards, which appeal to the more conscious consumer. It has already donated $250,000 to approximately 50 different organisations in the Dallas area.
